Empowering Every Woman to be Beautiful

Burt's Bees Giveaway

Today I realized how long it's been since I gave away something fun on this blog. During my hiatus to work through life stuff, I've not been much on the makeup or skincare scene. I've not even paid much attention to new product launches.

But I did buy a product for personal use that I really liked. It's not fancy or expensive, but it's proven a great facial cleanser for my super dry winter skin - Burt's Bees Orange Essence Facial Cleanser.

And judging by the glowing reviews for this cleanser on Burt's Bees' website, I'm not the only fan. With a price tag of only $8, it cost about the same as most drug store cleansers, but without the harsh chemicals.

The ingredients in this cleanser are: glycerin, olea europaea (olive) fruit oil, citrus aurantium dulcis (orange) peel oil, avena sativa (oat) kernel flour, lanolin, aloe barbadensis leaf juice, quillaja saponaria extract, avena sativa (oat) kernel oil, vegetable oil, beta-carotene, rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf oil, tocopherol.

The only questionable item in there is vegetable oil. It's a cheap oil that doesn't do much good for the skin. But it's not Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, which makes me very happy.

The real test of this product's worth came after I washed and dried my face. My skin felt so smooth. It wasn't tight at all. Hours later, even without applying moisturizer, my skin was still soft. And the lingering orange scent was divine.

So, if you'd like a chance to win this wonderful cleanser, just leave a comment on this post saying you'd like to be entered in the drawing. I'll announce the winner on Monday, February 8, 2010 and mail the treat out shortly after. Good luck!
