Farm Fresh Organic Skincare - Free Giveaway!

Imagine placing a call to an organic farm and requesting freshly made skincare, specifically formulated for your needs. Now imagine that skincare is shipped out the day it’s made. If you’re used to packaged and processed beauty products from a drugstore or department store, this sounds like a far-fetched idea. But it’s not. It’s exactly what happens at Lily Organics.

When I heard about a farmer in Colorado who had her own organic farm and her own lab for turning her crop into the freshest skincare available, I had to speak with her. Lily Morgan, Head Farm Hand, as she likes to be known, was completely open to discussing her unique brand.

But then she forgot about our interview. When we did speak, she was incredibly apologetic. She’d gotten caught up in picking chamomile for her latest batch of cleansers and the time had slipped by.

My New Site Launched!

After many months of planning and lots of sleepless nights, my new beauty site, The Healthy Beauty Project, is finally LIVE. It's about cosmetics, but with a lot more flare than I could do alone on this site. I've got a small team of friends and one amazing Media Director, who is making this new trumped up site possible.

From a friend who lets me use her home as a photo studio to star graphic designers who worked for free - I've been blessed with awesome support for this new venture. I hope you all come over and check out my video posts at spas around the country and my breaking news on what's happening in the "green" cosmetic market.

I'll also provide videos on makeup techniques I've used for years on television and photo shoots. I'll have product reviews and great giveaways so you can try natural beauty options instead of the mainstream stuff that isn't always made with the your health in mind.

And in the next few months I'll be adding an array of informational and training products (along with a kick butt phone app) that teach you how to do your makeup like a pro and take care of your health.

Help Pure Natural Diva Get Her Own Show

Oprah’s new network OWN has created a contest and the winner will get their own talk show. My friend, Tania Reuben, wants to take her kick-butt blog, Pure Natural Diva – to the next level with her own talk show. Pure Natural Diva is an informational site dedicated to Whole Living with Style and Ease.

The show - Pure Natural Diva Live – will cover the same topic. Simple Solutions to help people live greener, healthier lives.

This contest, as you can imagine, is getting a lot play with everyone who's ever thought they deserved their own show. I, for one, would love to see Tania get this opportunity to share her sage-like wisdom on green living with the rest of the world. I think this is the perfect time for such a show.

Sustainable living is finally making it to mainstream. Albeit, in tiny steps at the moment. I think most people think it's too hard to "green" their lives. But Tania proves daily through her blog that we can all do something meaningful for the planet and the generations to come, without uprooting our lives.
